The key word in the title "Technical Writer" is the word "Writer."

• You have to love writing.


• You have to love reading.


• You have to love words.


• You have to love the linguistic and grammatical things that come with writing.


• You have to understand the nuances and multiple meanings and the synonyms and homonyms and antonyms (and definitely know what they are).


• You have to know and love the differences between a simile and a metaphor.


• And most of all, you MUST WRITE.
